The challenge was to design a building to accommodate the expanding community in a warm, welcoming worship space with a strict budget and a range of program needs to accommodate. The church’s many features relate to the sense of community and flow while responding to the natural lighting through the central atrium, large windows and reflecting pond, which forms an identifiable link to the adjacent community. The project was completed on time and within the initial budget. The design provided full children’s program facilities including day care for up to 100 children.
